A group of terrorist bombers have captured half of the students and are holding them hostage. The other half of the class represent police, government, and general negotiators. There is a standoff situation. The bombers demand one-million dollars in cash and a helicopter on the roof that will take them wherever they want.
You may remember a post I wrote a few weeks a go about using Shakespeare in class. Well seeing as it’s pantomime season right now, here’s a rather comical Romeo & Juliet script and presentation with notes. It’s a half an hour lesson (based on Act 3, Scene 5) and as well as being part of my ongoing fight against philistinism, this skit is relevant to students’ lives.
